After 3 months of going through the Survivor XP program(Mizizi), all of XP was ready for CAMP! so on July 30th everyone had their bags all packed up and ready to OUTGROW, OUTLOVE and OUTSERVE!The camp was in PARADISE LOST Kiambu and about 90 wild XP guys and girls were about to get lost in mad fun, food and awesome bonding with God!
The camp kicked off with some great team building games by Mark and Muriu whose River of Confusion drowned everyone, and later the lunch filled up all the hungry Survivors from the games.
Guys unpacked and set up tents(benefiting from the previous week’s lessons at Church).The DJ then let loose some great Gospel tracks that got everyone dancing with the hype man,Aleki and Francis giving DICE a run for their money!
At around 2, Pst. KEN ARINGO checked in and talked about Forgiveness and later guys formed groups where they spoke to the Camp Counselors on issues they were dealing with on Forgiveness.
The Survivors then had an awesome time forming 3 groups, LOLIONDO, TENKI,TENKI and MITUMBA who competed in some more sports including the boat racing where a lot of skill was needed,but unfortunately,some teams lacked in this!
Supper was then served and guys and girls split after a joint session on Purity by Pst.ALBO and Pst.EDA who then talked about how to handle Purity issues as an XPressionite
KKrew showed up with a big screen and screened three movies,”LETTERS TO GOD”,”DESPICABLE ME” and a soccer match!
On SUNDAY the guys got up to breakfast which warmed a really cold morning and then got to a service with DICE and KUHANI leading worship.
The 3 groups then got into discussion of what would form a mature and an immature Xpressionite and then came up to present their points.
Pst.NICK and JUSH then talked about GROWTH and the life cycle of a christian. The Survivors went out for lunch and came back to finally form SURVIVOR GROUPS that represented all the different age groups at XP
It was a great time and as the camp was ending all the SURVIVORS had truly experienced a great time bonding with each other and with GOD and we now going out to OUTGROW , OUTLOVE and OUTSERVE!
